Still an ugly start, but got things going back in the right direction on Monday going 2-1 +376 for the day. I believe it takes two straight winning days to confirm that you are out of a funk. So lets hope today is the day. I have a great!!!!!! card today. Lets hope it turns out the way I think it will.

3)WASHINGTON +114 $300 for $342 RO/BB
3)LADODGERS -108 $324 for $300 JS/IS
3)NYYANKEES -1.5 -136 $408 for $300 CMW/JM
2)Arizona -123 $246 for $200 OH/AC
1)Toronto +180 $100 for $180 JT/JB

If I had to rank cards from top to bottem I would put this up at the top of the list. I almost made Arizona a 3 unit pick, and I almost layed 3.5 units on Washington. Good luck everyone. Lets get our money back.

The title of this thread has the wrong won/loss record.(unless a mod changes it for me)

I forgot to add the 2-1 from yesterday. The money and the units are correct. Thats all that really matters anyway, but for the record. My record stands at

17-25

I love the dodgers tomorrow!

I love the Dodgers too gyne. I posted this in your thread.

Do you know how everyone always called Reggie Jackson Mr October?

Well if I had to give a name to Jay Seo it would be Mr before the all-star break.

This guy has been tremendous in his career before the all-star break. For whatever reason, once the season gets into late July he falls apart. But in April,May and June he is money in the bank.

I dont normally post reasons for my picks in my baseball threads because of time constrants, but since we had a discusion about the Dodgers game in another thread I will go ahead and copy/paste what I said in the other thread for those of you that likes reasoning.

Answering a question by a poster about his 3 inning 3 run performance the other day below.

It goes alot deeper than just that one 3 inning stint. He did retire the first 8 batters that he faced. Plus Seo is a starter by trade. He has always been a better starter and that was a relief appearance. Here are his numbers pre-all-star break.

2005-preallstar 2-1 2.00 ERA
2004 4-5 4.76
2004 post all-star break 1-5 5.17
2003 pre 5-5 3.64
post 4-7 4.07

He really tails of in July. If you take just April, May and June the numbers get even better.

Im not much of a trends person, but first half vs 2nd half is one of the few that I think really means anything.

On top of that, this is a total mismatch. I dont even want to get started on I Snell. The Dodgers made a great move getiing Furcal in the offseason. It just gets the whole team going in the right direction. Look what Pierre has done for the Cubs. It makes a huge difference. You also have a healthy J.D Drew which the Dodgers missed for practically the whole season last year. The Dodgers are a complete baseball team, especially if Eric Gagne can come back and perform which is not looking great it this point.

Good luck
